Marantz, HEOS, and Mac
Marantz and Denon are part of the same company and share the HEOS network audio platform. Most modern Marantz AV receivers, stereo receivers, and music systems ship with HEOS built in — it is how they connect to your network, stream music services, and receive remote commands.
The official HEOS app controls both Marantz and Denon devices, but only on iOS and Android. On Mac, there is no official option. HEOS Surfer uses the same HEOS protocol to give you full playback control from the Mac menu bar.
