What is HEOS, and why does it matter for Mac?
HEOS is Denon's built-in network audio platform. Most modern Denon speakers, AV receivers, and soundbars ship with HEOS — it is how they connect to your network, stream music services, and receive playback commands.
The official HEOS app (iOS and Android) uses this platform to give you control from your phone. HEOS Surfer does the same thing on Mac — it connects directly to your Denon device using the HEOS network protocol and gives you full playback control from the menu bar.

HEOS Surfer works with any Denon device that has HEOS built in. Not sure if yours qualifies? If it appears in the HEOS app on iOS or Android, it works with HEOS Surfer.
