HEOS Surfer does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data.

How the app communicates

The app communicates only with HEOS-compatible speakers on your local network using the HEOS CLI protocol. No data leaves your local network except for:

Fetching album artwork and station favicons directly from URLs provided by your speaker
Querying the public Radio Browser API (radiobrowser.info) when you search for radio stations

Neither of these involves any personal information.

No analytics, no accounts

HEOS Surfer contains no analytics SDK, no crash-reporting service, no advertising framework, and requires no account of any kind. Your usage data stays entirely on your device.
